This post is to all out there who have their kit, but want to know what they can do with it! I will go over , and tools that are oh-so helpful in getting the most out of YL’s oils, additional oils that are must haves to try next, and my favorite/daily uses for the oils in the kit!
Tools for the Oil User
By far the most important tool you can have as a new oil lover is to buy either the Reference Guide for Essential Oils Soft Cover 2014 or Hard Cover 2014! Or if you prefer, check out this book in app form for Android/Google and App format for iphone! This reference guide will help you through your oils. It not only shares with you the chemistry of how oils work, but they also tell the main purposes of each oil and blend and you can also look up your ailment and see which oils can support you. This is a must!
Next, I love to store/display all my oils in this Nail Polish Rack on my counter top. I am sure you could put one of these in your cabinets too.
You MUST get a glass water bottle to take full advantage of ingesting certain oils to support your health! I recommend Ello 20-oz Glass Water Bottle with Silicone Sleeve (Pink Squares) but there are tons of glass water bottles around (Target has some cute ones too).
These Roll on Glass Bottles are a must have. I use them to stretch my oils! ** It’s important to use tinted glass bottles as they block the UV rays from scrambling the molecules in the essential oils, therefore making them less effective. You can find brown, blue, purple and the ones above are green.
These 2 oz are a must have for making your own sprays and other concoctions you come up with. You can get all sizes. I use the 2 oz mostly, but 4oz are great for sunscreen, the 16 oz would be good for house cleaning products or things you use a lot of! the 1oz are great to carry on the go!
I use babyfood jars for my creams but if you don’t have those handy, I would get Medium Amber Glass Jar for your homemade rubs like my facial cream, ZZZ massage cream, or respiratory support cream. If you want to make creams and such to give away, I would encourage using these 2 oz. Round Favor Tins .
New Must Have Oils to Try:
I love cedarwood in a diffuser (3 drops) to promote a restful sleep. I put in roller bottle (20 drops) and rub bottoms of feet to help concentration, clear head and focus, even for your littles who need help with this during school time. Only $11 for a large bottle (15ML or 240 drops)!
R.C. is a great blend to support healthy chest, nasal and sinues! I diffuse when we are stuffed up. I rub on areas that need to loosen up! Only $10 for a small bottle (5ML or 80 drops)
Peace and Calming is WONDERFUL for promoting a sense of calm among your children. When they are wild, I diffuse this. Also, in Grace’s nursery, I diffuse every night 2 drops, plus 2 drops of lavender! $15 or so for a small bottle. TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE
DiGize is a must have. I LOVE it for supporting our digestive system! It helps to alleviate bloating, excessive gas, nausea, that stuffed feeling or pressure, and relief of occasional heartburn. I just put my finger on the top of the bottle and rub under my tongue. I have it in a roller bottle, diluted with olive oil too and rub on kid’s tummies $33 for a large bottle.
Favorite Uses from the oils in my Premium Starter Kit:
Honestly, I sat on these oils for like 6 months or so before I started using them consistently. I am so glad I finally broke open the goodness and used them!
***Blend equal drops lemon, lavender and peppermint in diffuser to alleviate scratchy eyes, throat, nose, etc). You can also use 6 drops of each in roller bottles filled with carrier oil of your choice and apply ‘raccoon eyes’ on your face and down your neck by your ears.
Your Home Diffuser is easy to work! Press once for it to diffuse constantly, press twice for it to alternate 30 seconds on and 30 seconds off, and press and hold down if you want the light to go off on either setting.
